ermaf RAV system

In the Official Gazette No. 18726 of the Netherlands (staatscourant), dated October 18, 2011, the new rules are published by the Minister for Infrastructure and Environment October 3, 2011 No DP2011054567 amending the Regulation on Ammonia and Livestock (RAV).
The ermaf system is listed below main category E (chicken):
E5.14-stable with indirectly fired airheaters and air mixing system for dry litter (BF 2011.13)

Thanks to the low emission factor of the ermaf RAV system a broiler farmer now can double his production without ammonia increases.
E.g. 35,000 chickens in a traditional chicken house emit as much ammonia as 80,000 chickens in a chicken house equipped with the new ermaf RAV system.

 

In de staatscourant nr. 18726 van 18 oktober 2011 is de nieuwe regeling gepubliceerd van de Staatssecretaris van Infrastructuur en Milieu van 3 oktober 2011 nr. DP2011054567 tot wijziging van de Regeling Ammoniak en Veehouderij (RAV).
In de hoofdcategorie E kippen staat het ermaf systeem vermeld onder:
E5.14-Stal met indirect gestookte warmteheaters met luchtmengsysteem voor droging strooisellaag (BWL 2011.13)

Dankzij de lage emissiefactor van het ermaf RAV systeem kan een vleeskuikenhouder verdubbelen zijn productie zonder dat de ammoniakemissie toeneemt.
35.000 kuikens in een traditionele stal emitteren net zoveel ammoniak als 80.000 kuikens in een stal met ermaf RAV systeem.
